Solutions

Start from the problem you have.

DataTug is one platform, but nobody buys a platform. Start from the problem you have today; each one leads to the next when you need it.

Watercolor of one coastline with five places, a harbour gatehouse, a chart room, a cartographer’s loft, a quay with a notice board and a lighthouse, joined by a tugboat’s wake.

Five solutions

  1. Watercolor of a harbour master raising a gate bar to let one tugboat through, beside cargo crates under tied-down tarpaulins and an open ledger on the gatehouse desk.

    Safe Data Access

Let people and AI agents reach production data without handing over the keys

    Perimeter

  2. Watercolor of a navigator at a chart table tracing a crate’s route between islands with brass pins and a red thread, to a dashed ring on the chart.

    Incident Investigation

Find out what happened to a customer’s order, payment or account

    Detective · Context Bag

  3. Watercolor of a cartographer’s hands joining an old sepia map and a modern blue chart of one coast with a thread between the same lighthouse on each.

    Data Understanding

Know what a column means before you join on it

    MeaningGraph

  4. Watercolor of a crew member at a spyglass on a quay while copies of the same chart are passed hand to hand along it on cards.

    Data Exploration & Sharing

Ask a question across several databases and share the answer

    Queries · Dashboards

  5. Watercolor of a lighthouse keeper’s logbook on the window sill, with bell buoys marking known rocks in the bay beyond.

    Data Quality & Monitoring

Spot data problems before a customer has to tell you

The Solution Graph

Each solution stands on its own. Together they hand work to each other: what one finds, the next one uses.

Read the connections as text

The graph shows the intended connections. Not every one is implemented today; each solution page marks which parts are available, in development or planned.

Roles and solutions

Which solutions each role starts from, and which are also useful. Each mark opens that role’s page at the solution.

One order, end to end

How the five solutions work together on one problem. Northwind order 11045 is sample data, and some steps use capabilities that are in development or planned: the story shows where DataTug is going, and each solution page says what is available today.

  1. A customer asks where order 11045 is

An ordinary ticket: Bottom-Dollar Markets asks when order 11045 will arrive, as it is due tomorrow and has no tracking number yet. Sarah takes it and opens a case.

    Incident Investigation
  2. The Perimeter governs access

Sarah and the agent helping her read Orders and Payments in production. Contact details come back masked; nothing can be changed without approval. (Masking and approvals are planned.)

    Safe Data Access
  3. MeaningGraph finds the links

The order is OrderID in Northwind, order_ref in Payments and order_id at the carrier. MeaningGraph knows they are the same order, so the related records line up. (Cross-source linking by MeaningGraph is planned; today a person maps the meaning.)

    Data Understanding
  4. Queries and logs find the discrepancy

A saved query shows the payment was captured; the carrier API has no booking; the log says route-17-2 expired the day before.

    Data Exploration & Sharing
  5. The findings are preserved

Queries, evidence and the conclusion stay in the case. The approved rebooking runs for that one order, and the audit trail, planned, says who agreed.

    Incident Investigation
  6. A Check spots it next time

The query that explained it becomes a Check, “paid but not booked after 24 hours”. Three weeks later it flags order 11082 before the customer needs to ask.
