Terms of service

How the hosted DataTug service works, what a Pro subscription covers, and how to cancel or request a refund.

Effective 9 October 2026.

1. Who provides the service

Petamatic Limited, an Irish company registered with the Companies Registration Office under number 492141, provides the hosted DataTug service. Our VAT number is IE9774367T. Our registered address is 38 Abbeylock, Corbally, Limerick, Ireland, V94 C9XA.

For support, subscription requests or complaints, email support@sneat.co. For personal-data questions, email privacy@sneat.co. Our Privacy notice explains how we handle personal data.

2. Scope and your account

These terms cover the hosted service at datatug.app and its Pro subscription. Open-source software has the licence in its own repository; these terms do not replace that licence or govern a server you operate yourself. Third-party databases, GitHub and AI providers also have their own terms.

DataTug uses the shared Sneat platform identity. Keep your sign-in credentials secure, provide accurate account information and tell us if you suspect unauthorised access. If you act for an organisation, you must have authority to do so. A subscription does not give you access to someone else's data or override their permissions.

3. Projects, permissions and your content

DataTug helps you work with project definitions, connections, queries and results. Some information stays in your browser or a server you control; hosted shared-project records are associated with a Space and its membership permissions. GitHub-backed files remain in the selected repository. Its visibility, collaborators, branch permissions and the permissions granted to the DataTug GitHub App affect who can read or change those files.

When you request a supported hosted project or query save, our backend checks the relevant permissions and can create a GitHub commit. You remain responsible for the content you save, your authority to use the connected data, and the access you grant. Keep backups of important files and review proposed changes before saving. Changing or deleting a hosted account does not remove GitHub repository history or other people's copies.

You retain your rights in your content. You authorise us to process, store and transmit it as needed to carry out the service actions you request and to make it available under your chosen sharing permissions. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content to us.

Do not use the service to access data without permission, infringe others' rights, submit unlawful content, distribute malware or interfere with the service. Do not place passwords, API keys or other credentials in shared query text, public repositories or support messages.

4. Pro, prices and renewal

The plan, billing period, currency, price and applicable discount are shown before you authorise payment. Pro can be billed monthly or annually. A paid subscription renews for the selected period unless you cancel before renewal. Stripe processes the payment. A TEST checkout is a test transaction and does not purchase a LIVE subscription.

Our advertised Pro base prices are €19 per month or €190 per year, including applicable VAT, before any qualifying discount. The final amount and billing period are shown before payment.

The current pricing page and your checkout confirmation describe the included features and limits. Planned features and allowances are not included merely because a roadmap or example mentions them. Business purchase, usage add-ons, prepaid capacity and SSO add-ons are not offered under these Pro purchase terms.

A launch discount applies to the base subscription only. Eligibility and the discount are confirmed at checkout, rather than by a remaining-places estimate on the website. A qualifying launch discount lasts for the life of the qualifying paid subscription. A full base-payment refund ends the affected Pro access immediately and releases its launch-discount place. A later purchase requires a new eligibility check.

5. Cancellation and our 30-day guarantee

To cancel renewal, request a refund or ask about a plan change, email support@sneat.co from your account email, identifying the subscription and what you want us to do. Do not send card details or passwords. These requests are handled through support; this page does not promise an automated refund facility.

First base payment: ask within 30 days of your first Pro base-subscription payment for a full refund of that first base payment, whether monthly or annual. The guarantee covers the amount you actually paid, including any discount. A full refund ends the affected Pro access immediately and releases any launch-discount place.

Monthly cancellation after the guarantee: renewal stops and Pro continues through the month already paid for. There is no automatic refund of that paid month under this additional guarantee. Your statutory rights remain available.

Annual cancellation after the guarantee: the affected Pro access ends when cancellation takes effect, and unused time in the paid annual term is refunded at the annual rate you actually paid, including its discount. We do not recalculate the used time at the undiscounted monthly price.

Once Pro ends, the shared projects covered by that subscription become read-only and AI is unavailable in those projects. Local query execution remains available. Free private and public projects remain available under the Free plan's limits, including own-key AI where supported. Access to your own database or repository still depends on its permissions and availability; subscription expiry does not itself erase those external files.

6. Consumer rights and withdrawal

Our guarantee is additional to your rights under applicable consumer law. If you are a consumer buying this digital service online, you generally have 14 days from agreeing the contract to withdraw without giving a reason. We do not treat signing in or beginning to use Pro as a blanket waiver of that right. Where our 30-day first-payment guarantee applies, it offers the full first-base-payment refund described above.

Tell us clearly that you wish to withdraw, by email or post to the contacts above, before the applicable deadline. You may use the following model notice, but do not have to: “To Petamatic Limited, 38 Abbeylock, Corbally, Limerick, Ireland, V94 C9XA, support@sneat.co: I give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the DataTug Pro service. Contract agreed on: ____. Name: ____. Address: ____. Account email: ____. Date: ____.” Add your signature if sending it on paper.

Where a statutory refund is due, it will be made within the legally required period, normally within 14 days of withdrawal, using the original payment method unless you agree otherwise, without a refund fee. Nothing here limits rights to have a non-conforming digital service brought into conformity, to a price reduction or to termination and reimbursement where the law provides them.

7. AI and external services

For own-key AI, you choose the provider, endpoint and model, and are responsible for the provider account and its charges. Prompts and the context included by the feature go to that provider. Check its privacy, retention and data-use terms before sending confidential or personal data. AI can produce incorrect queries or explanations; review its output and authorise execution yourself.

External services can change, impose limits or become unavailable. We do not promise that every database, repository or AI provider is supported. We will not charge you for a new paid add-on without presenting its terms and obtaining your authorisation.

8. Availability, suspension and changes

We must provide the service with the care and conformity required by applicable law. There is no separately agreed uptime SLA under these terms. Maintenance, failures and external-provider interruptions can affect availability. Contact support if the service does not work as described.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, a security threat or a material breach of these terms. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and give you a chance to resolve it. Any suspension, discontinuation or change remains subject to your statutory rights and applicable refund rights.

Material changes to these terms or a future renewal price will be communicated before they apply, with an opportunity to cancel renewal. They do not retrospectively remove an accrued refund right or a discount already granted on its stated terms.

9. Responsibility, complaints and applicable law

We are responsible for the service as required by law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or takes away a consumer's mandatory rights. You are responsible for authorised use of your connected systems and for checking queries before execution.

Send complaints to support@sneat.co, explaining the issue and the outcome you seek. These terms are governed by Irish law, subject to mandatory protections of the country where a consumer ordinarily lives. They do not prevent a consumer from bringing a claim in a court available to them under applicable law.
